   संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका के अधिकारियों और विदेश विभाग के दूतों के अनुसार संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका में सउदी राजदूत राजकुमार तुर्की अल फैसल राज्य सचिव कोण्डोलिजा राइस और उनके स्टाफ को सूचित कर अपने कार्यकाल के 15 माह के उपरांत ही वाशिंगटन से कल रवाना हो गये। अरब कूटनीतिज्ञों के अनुसार लम्बे समय तक खुफिया सेवा में कार्यरत रहे तुर्की ने अपने स्टाफ को कल बताया कि वे अपने परिवार के साथ अधिक समय व्यतीत करना चाहते हैं। उनके सहकर्मियों ने बताया कि वे इस निर्णय पर हतप्रभ हैं। वे बिना किसी अधिक हलचल के चले गये जबकि किसी दूत के जाने पर सार्वजनिक बयान से अधिक पार्टियाँ और धन्यवाद होता है
6. Thus, when Israel captured the Temple Mount in 1967, it permitted the waqf to remain in charge there.    इसी प्रकार जब इजरायल ने 1967 में टेम्पल माउंट पर नियंत्रण किया तो वक्फ को अनुमति प्रदान की कि वे इसका प्रभार अपने पास रखें। फिलीस्तीन अथारिटी ने उस न्याय का अपने पक्ष में उपयोग किया और 35 वर्ष पूर्व टेम्पल माउंट पर मुस्लिम दावे को बढाने के लिये प्रयास किया और इसी क्रम में सोलोमन्स स्टेबल्स में मस्जिद का निर्माण कर दिया। अब जब कि वक्फ किसी प्रकार की ढाँचा गत समस्या से इन्कार कर रहा है तो इसका स्पष्ट अर्थ है कि इजरायल अधिकारी इस पर शांत हैं। परंतु इस स्थिति को लम्बे समय तक बनाये नहीं रखा जा सकता। यह विषय कोई सामान्य विवाद नहीं है कि किसी चर्च की सफाई करनी है या फिर इस क्षेत्र में किसे कितना समय व्यतीत करना है, वास्तव में यह एक संकट है जो कि धीरे धीरे स्वरूप ग्रहण कर रहा है।
